Extend Your Technical Diving Range. Tec 45 takes the skills developed in Tec 40 and moves you deeper into technical diving.
You’ll learn to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives to 45 metres / 150 feet, including the use of a dedicated decompression cylinder and breathing gases appropriate to the dive plan.
The course places greater emphasis on precise dive planning, gas management, decompression procedures, equipment configuration, emergency management and disciplined team diving. You’ll also become increasingly comfortable managing the additional workload and equipment associated with deeper technical dives.
Tec 45 is the next major step in the PADI TecRec progression and is a prerequisite for Tec 50.

Prerequisites
- Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire signed by a physician within the previous 12 months
- PADI Tec 40 Diver
- PADI Rescue Diver
- Proof of CPR/First Aid training completed within the previous two years
- Minimum 50 logged dives
- At least 10 dives deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet
- Minimum age: 18
