Push Your Technical Diving Further. Tec 50 is the final level in the core PADI TecRec open-circuit progression offered by YRS.
At this level, you’ll build on the skills developed through Tec 40 and Tec 45 and learn to plan and execute extended-range technical dives to 50 metres / 165 feet.
Tec 50 introduces the additional complexity of multiple decompression gases and multiple decompression stops, requiring careful planning, precise gas management, disciplined execution and effective emergency procedures.
Reaching Tec 50 represents a significant accomplishment. More importantly, it gives you the skills and experience to explore a much broader range of advanced technical dive sites and future technical-diving opportunities.

Experienced Tec 45 divers who are ready to advance their technical diving skills and extend their depth and decompression capabilities.
Prerequisites
- Diver Medical Form signed by a physician within the previous 12 months
- PADI Tec 45 Diver
- PADI Rescue Diver
- Proof of CPR/First Aid training within the previous two years, where applicable
- Minimum 100 logged dives or 75 hours of logged diving
- Minimum age: 18
